Social Security

Starting a job does not mean you will lose your benefits. You may make more money at your job and keep benefits when you work. However, all jobs are different and you will need to consult with your representative at the Social Security Administration (SSA) to find out exactly how your benefits will change. PWI cannot provide any information regarding your benefits. If you receive benefits from the SSA, and if you authorize PWI to support you in reporting wages to the SSA, PWI will assist you in reporting your wages while you are with PWI.

If you are not currently receiving SSA benefits, check with your Regional Center Service Coordinator to explore your eligibility. Everyone who receives social security benefits is responsible for reporting their wages to the SSA. The responsibility of reporting your wages is extremely important. PWI can help you with this responsibility. If you do not report your wages regularly and in a timely manner, your benefits can be adversely affected. You do not want to negatively impact your benefits. All that you need to do is report your wages regularly.
