Keys to Success at your Job
To be successful at my job, I will:
- be friendly and come to work with a smile
- I will make an effort to get along with my co-workers and supervisors
- work should be enjoyable!
- be on time everyday
- my job needs me as much as I need it
- If I don't show up, someone else has to do my work, or the work is not
done
- only call in sick if I am not well
- I will also call PWI and my employer as soon as I know I will not be
able to come to work
- make requests for vacation at least two weeks in advance and schedule
appointments outside of work hours
- cooperate with my job coach and ask for support when I need it
- ask my supervisor what he/she thinks I do well and what I can do better
- always be willing to accept new challenges
- be open to criticism
- feeback from my boss helps me improve my work
- ask questions and listen carefully
- I will learn what my duties are and how to do them correctly
- will be understanding of others who may not work as fast a I do
- not be afraid to say, "I don't understand," or "Please
show me again."
- keep busy
- If I have finished work, I won't sit around waiting for somebody to
tell me what to do
- if finished with my work, I will ask what I can do for additional work
- take care of my personal appearance and grooming
- wear nice and clean clothing that is appropriate for my job
- work hard and do all that I can to cooperate with my employer
- will do a high quality job every day.
- I will do a great job and enjoy work!
