Assessment: Identify your job strengths
Vocational Assessment is designed to assist you in identifying your job strengths and interests, while also providing you with strategies to ensure successful community employment. Any individual seeking employment in a group or individual placement is eligible for vocational assessment, including individuals enrolled in supported employment programs other than PWI’s.
Job Exploration
A wonderful opportunity for you to visit local companies and shadow employees to learn more about the jobs available in your community. You will be able to ask employees questions about their positions and gain knowledge of what is required to perform the job successfully.
External Situation Assessment
Helps you to identify jobs you are interested in pursuing and are then given the opportunity to work hands-on at local companies. You will gain valuable information about the skills required for the job, the demands of the position and the work environment.
Personal and Social Adjustment
Designed to assist you in overcoming barriers to successful community employment. A PWI specialist is available to assist you with effective communication, grooming, hygiene, personal health, problem solving and decision-making.
