Qualifications:
* Five years experience in development work (individual giving, grant writing, planned giving, corporate giving, etc.) or related sales experience.
* Bachelor’s degree required.
* Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent oral and written skills.
* Independent and self-directed.
* Collaborative teamwork style.
* Excellent independent judgment and decision making.
* Knowledge of San Diego’s charitable giving community.
* Knowledge of fundraising software
Responsibilities:
* Raise money through a variety of methods in order to advance PWI’s services (individual corporate giving, grant writing, foundations, public funding, etc.).
* Develop and implement strategies for identifying, approaching, and cultivating a wide variety of individual and donors.
* Guidance/support of special events (e.g., tours, annual Success Luncheon)
* Collaboration with PWI offices to develop and implement strategies for ongoing giving, support, and community outreach.
* Research, analyze and submit grant applications to a variety of prospective funding sources.
* Create targeted plans to attract new and ongoing donors/supporters of PWI..
* Cultivate and coordinate community outreach opportunities (e.g., public speaking, VIP meetings, etc.) for President/CEO.
* Market PWI’s mission and leadership in order to develop further public awareness and support.
* Other duties as assigned.
