There is no cost to clients and/or family members to participate in Partnerships With Industry’s (PWI) services.
Partnerships With Industry's primary funding comes from the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) for the Developmentally Disabled. Clients must qualify for services from SDRC or from the California Department of Rehabilitation (DR). For more information on eligibility, download the Consumer Information Handbook [RTF – 56 KB]. Clients might also be interested in the Guide to Services.
Clients must meet certain requirements and be referred by a Regional Center Client Services Coordinator. PWI will then conduct an assessment of the client’s interests and goals and arrange an ‘intake meeting’ with the SDRC Coordinator or DR Counselor and PWI Staff. Eligibility for services will be determined at this time – please note that a copy of a most recent physical exam or a new physical examination may be requested at this time.
Opening a case with can take up to 60 (sixty) days or longer. We encourage constant communication with your PWI manager regarding your status or to answer any other questions. It is only when clients complete all steps that we can begin working together. The PWI manager is the client’s contact point and will assist them with each step.
