The Job Coach is a PWI staff member who provides a very important service to employers. The Job Coach is the PWI client's main support throughout employment. The Job Coach responsibilities range from communicating with the employer to providing the client with ongoing training and support. They are also the primary liaison between the employer, client, and PWI. Ensuring that everyone's needs are communicated and understood is an important function of the Job Coach.
When an individual is hired through PWI, the Job Coach provides the training, guidance and ongoing support necessary to ensure a successful job match.
In 'Group Services', Job Coaches provide 100% support.
In 'Individual Placement', the coach will lessen their on-site support as clients become more comfortable and independent in their jobs. However, in all programs, support provided to the employer and worker is ongoing.
